GROUND SCHOOL - Comprehensive Training for Private Pilots In NJ & NYC
Ground school is conducted in the following ways at P6:
1. Cirrus Approach
The Cirrus Approach platform is accessed at cirrusapproach.com — this platform includes the Private Pilot Course and Instrument Rating Course, as well as many other transition and specialty courses to make the most out of your training. The platform is built by Cirrus and includes everything you'll need to pass your written exams. Additionally, it will teach you all about aircraft systems, engine management, US airspace, FAA regulations, pilotage (visual navigation), and more. This self-paced course allows you to study at your own convenience while receiving top-tier educational content developed by P6’s Cirrus experts.
2. One-on-One Instructor Support
Work with our Cirrus Training Center Instructors (TCIs) before and after each lesson to ensure that you're prepping well and constantly evaluating your performance post-flight. Personalized guidance from experienced instructors helps you retain knowledge better and improve your flight proficiency quickly and efficiently.
3. Extra Support Through Ground Sessions
Ground instruction (including virtual sessions) is available if you need some extra sessions to solidify your knowledge and/or spend more time with a particular topic. Whether you need a refresher on FAA regulations or want to review complex topics like airspace classification, we provide additional support when you need it most.
4. Preparing for Your FAA Oral Exam
We'll spend as much time as needed preparing you for the Oral portion of the FAA Practical Exam. That can be done in person or via Zoom. With structured preparation, mock oral exams, and expert feedback, you’ll be ready to ace your checkride with ease. You will go into your checkride fully prepared and confident!
